Why should my air ducts be cleaned?

Indoor air can be 2 to 5 times more polluted than air outside. Most disposable filters remove about 10% of this pollutants allowing 90% to enter the air system. This pollutants contain dust, pollen, mold spores, animal dander and much more. They collect on the system just as they do in furniture and floor surfaces. The furniture and floor are cleaned regularly but the duct surfaces are hidden from view. Having all this particles on your duct systems triggers allergy and asthma. You might also experience sick building syndrome.

Very professional and thorough.  The technician started with the third floor intake which was very dirty.  He then proceeded to the lower floor.  The large vacuum nearly filled up with the dust in the vent systems.  He was very careful in taking the large vacuum system into the house and up the stairs,  which I appreciated very much.  I was interested in the process, and he patiently explained what he was doing, and did not mind my watching.  The vent cleaning took about two hours, I think.  While the vacuum was going on,  he simultaneously worked on cleaning the fireplace, which was full of ashes.  He did the dryer vent vacuum last.  It had been many years (could be a decade?) since I last had these services done, and he told me that we should aim for every other year.

I am pleased with the entire process.  Jorge came to clean my ducts and vents.  He is exactly the type of professional you hope is sent to your home (since some companies send some questionable individuals).  Jorge was prompt, courteous, polite, quick, professional, clean (in terms of ensuring that my home was not left a mess), and friendly.
I asked how much the company charges for a dryer duct/vent cleaning, since it was not part of the deal I purchased.  He called the company right away, quoted me a price, and was able to do the job right away.  Everything went well from start to finish.

Very well.  Service rep was very professional, punctual, thorough and fast.  Cleaned the house up very well when the work was complete.  Great to see all that dirt that he removed from out ductwork!!!

First off the scheduling was painless. Mrs. Vega contacted me promptly and we were able to nail down the date and time. On the day of the appointment, the technician arrived within the appointment window. He was very polite and professional. He asked to take a look at the furnace and informed me of the what the work would entail. Others have mentioned that holes were cut that seemed to come as bit of a surprise, but my technician clearly stated that he would need to cut a hole and gave details as to the size. The hole was neatly covered at the end of the process and well sealed. I have had no issues thus far. The whole process took about 2 hours, after which he briefed me on his findings and advised as to a follow up schedule. All in all, I think the job was well done and I would recommend this company in the future.

The technician was very careful not to make a mess.  He did not try to get me to do extra repairs or run up the cost of the service with un-necessary extra costs.  The job was done quickly and at the previously estimated cost.

What is the cleaning procedure?

For Air Duct Cleaning we use negative air for complete source removal. First we attach the HEPA Vacuum hose to the trunk lines of the ventilation system, then under suction (negative air) pressure rotary brushes and air lines are inserted into air vent, registers and intakes moving the contaminants and dirt from the home's air ducts into the vacuum. Each vent return and main lines are individually cleaned with an air compressor that pushed dust to the vacuum. Then clean to detail any dust that might have come out of the vents during the cleaning process. After that we apply sanitation/mold remediation to bring bacteria and mold to its lowest possible level.

For Dryer Vent Cleaning we use Abatement Technologies Industrial air compressors and with setting on 185PSI to remove bird nests, lint, mud and much more out from the dryer ducts. Either we use outside exhaust port, work from behind your dryer or create an access to clean your duct. We make sure that its safe to use, clean and in excellent condition to exhaust the hot air coming from your dryer.

For Chimney Sweep first we use a barrier to protect your home from dust and ashes that might fall during the cleaning. Then we use metal brushes of all shapes they go attached to rods that we add as needed. We clean from bottom, always making sure that all creosote, ashes and particulate is removed. Then we check air drift, dampers, caps, crowns and masonry to make sure its safe to use.We use portable HEPA vacuums along with High PSI air compressors and rotary brushes.
